Sound, Mantra

Sound is found. Dogma bites.

It's only when we open our mouths to speak that we mess things up! Work on your presence and listen.

Ancient scriptures say that the ability to listen is the most powerful of all five senses.
All things on the planet are vibrating at some frequency.
Any time we speak, chant or make a sound, we start a new vibration.

If you're going to open your mouth, sweeten your exhale

Mantras are a useful tool for keeping the mind focused within. I chant mantras all the time. I took time to learn and understand a lot of mantras, not only kundalini yoga mantras, but Sanskrit mantras and A Course In Miracles lessons. Any of the words from the Divine definitely helps me neutralize my mind, which neutralizes my perception, which neutralizes my words.

When my mind skips into an unproductive thought track, I chant. If I am met with system failure of any kind, I chant. Either silently or outloud.

Stop Analyzing

I don't get caught up about what mantra will give me "the correct vibration" for any particular situation. It's not my concern whether my karma will clear if I chant for someone. I just chant whatever chant of Divine comes to mind.

Essentially, I'd rather chant God's name than chant the more typical mantras like fuck you or fuck this or fuck it all.

Mantra In Kundalini Yoga

A mantra is a syllable, word or phrase in sacred languages, like Sanskrit and Gurmukhi, which elevates or modifies consciousness through its meaning, the sound itself, rhythm, tone, and even the reflexology of the tongue on the palate. Kundalini Yoga also uses English mantras.

One of the most used mantras in Kundalini Yoga is "Sat Naam." (vowel sounds similar to "but mom") In Sanskrit, Sat means beingness or existence. Sat is eternal. Naam literally means, the Name. It indicates Identity.

Mantras using the three languages of consciousness:

human - things, the world; this is when we chant in a normal or loud voice

lovers - longing to belong; this is when we chant in a strong whisper

divine - infinity; this is when we chant mentally or silently

There are two things you can do to make the use of a mantra more powerful, regardless of how you recite.

One is to see the mantra, as if it is being written as you say it, and the other is to actively listen to it as you say it.
