Spring Equinox Energy Inspires Us to Lighten Inner Mysteries

Today marks the Spring Equinox. Equinox means "equal night." Day and night are in perfect balance. Because the sun is positioned above the equator, day and night are about equal in length all over the world during earth's equinoxes.
The Great Sphinx faces the rising sun on the day of the Spring Equinox.

Secrets of the Ancients
Ancient cultures marked the sun's cycles in stone. Knowledge of the special power in Spring was universal. Egyptians built the Great Sphinx to directly face the rising Sun on the day of the Spring Equinox.

Tune into Sun Cycles of Change

Life, and the movement through natures cycles, feels like it is moving into a grand pause for about five days. This stillness - and shift towards increasing light - is recognized as a very potent time to focus and set intentions for the coming months.    From this day forward, you are moving, along with everyone in the Northern hemisphere, more and more into the light.

Spring Time is Planting Time.

Spring Equinox moves us from the deep winter days of hibernation to turning outward, being filled with the increasing light. This looking out inspires action. Use the special upsurge of energy after the Spring Equinox to "get going." Spring Ahead

Set your intentions. Find your balance. Flow into your life.

"If you don't design your own life plan,
chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan.
And guess what they have planned for you?
Not much."  quote from Jim Rohn

navigating the world ocean

Finding answers in a barrage of a million questions

Here is a method from a Barbara Brennan book:
Sit with a pen and paper and quietly meditate until your mind is calm.
Take your time. Wait until your mind is calm.

Say outloud that you relinquish all personal stake in the answers to your questions.
Quickly write your questions and stay open and relaxed.

Then write the answers as they come without thinking about it.
Whatever comes, just keep writing.

Ask as many questions as you want and then put the notebook away for at least four hours before going back and reading it.

Even better, wait until the next day.
Keep your mind calm in the mean time and don't be tempted to taint what you've already written.

Then trust what's written and take action.

Trust.

the narrow hallway of the divide

Anything that comes in life is an opportunity. God is constantly giving you the opportunity to know thy Self. --Paramahamsa Hariharananda

Here's a new feeling that I'm facing today and the answer provided via a random passage that I selected from a random book:

If a wrong is done against us for no fault of ours, there is no best or worst method to retaliate.

Do not degrade yourself by resorting to retaliation in any way.

Adherence to violence even in thought, just to satisfy the lower mind debases the individual spiritually.

Now is the Time: Message from the Elders

The Crab Nebula -- Supernova

5-day solo journey to explore Chaco Canyon in 2003.
The Supernova Pictograph is located along the trail to Penasco Blanco ruin in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico.

In AD 1054 a new star appeared in the constellation Taurus that was so bright it was visible even by day.

Today we know this object as the Crab Nebula, the remnants of a supernova of a massive star.

Archaeologists believe that the Anasazi recorded this event at the time of its appearance.

The crescent shape accurately represents the phase of the moon at the time of the explosion, while the star shape is thought to represent the supernova itself. The handprint seems to be in the nature of a signature.

Message from the Elders

"You have been telling the people that this is the 11th hour.

Now you must go back and tell the people that this is the hour and there are things to be considered:
Where are you living?

What are you doing?

What are your relationships?

Are you in right relation?

Where is your water?

Know your garden.

It is time to speak your Truth.

Create your community.

Be good to each other and do not look outside yourself for the leader.

This could be a good time.

There is a river flowing now very fast.

It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.

They will try to hold on to the shore.

They will feel they are being torn apart and they will suffer greatly.

Know the River has its destination.

The Elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open and our heads above the water.

See who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves, for the moment that we do our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabularly.

All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we've been waiting for."

mystical cleverness

playing in sunset in the western desert, egypt
The Fool in the Tarot, is the spirit in search of experience.

The Fool represents the mystical cleverness bereft of reason within us, the childlike ability to tune into the inner workings of the world.

In the deck of the Tarot, the Fool is the first card of the deck. When you study the Fool card, you see the sun shines behind him. The sun represents the divine nature of the Fool's wisdom and exuberance. On his back are all the possessions he might need. In his hand there is a flower, showing his appreciation of beauty.

He is frequently accompanied by a dog, sometimes seen as his animal desires, sometimes as the call of the "real world", nipping at his heels and distracting him. He is seemingly unconcerned that he is standing on a precipice, apparently about to leap, engaged in the supremest act of idiocy or trust.

The number of the Fool is 0, a perfect significator for the Fool, which can become anything when he reaches his destination. Zero plus anything equals the same thing. Zero times anything equals zero. Zero is nothing, a lack of hard substance, and as such it may reflect a non-issue or lack of cohesiveness for the subject at hand.

Over the last few weeks, I've been getting back in touch with my Tarot deck.
